Ok so I’m sure you’ve all heard by now that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are getting a divorce:( I honestly never thought that “Katie Holmes,” “Tom Cruise,” and the word “divorce” would be in one sentence. What a sad week for everyone around the world. The once incredibly loving couple who the world never thought would split have already hired their divorce lawyers. According to Cruise, Holmes was the one who initiated the divorce, filing the divorce papers last week. Cruise was both shocked and deeply saddened by this event. 

Hold up, Katie Holmes filed the divorce papers?? Yes, we all remember Tom’s incredibly insane but romantic moment when he jumped up and down on the couch claiming his love for Katie on The Oprah Winfrey’s Show, but Katie has also claimed before that she’s been in love with Tom ever since she was a little girl. So what went wrong? How could one of America’s most loved couples be getting a divorce right out of the blue? I mean really, did anyone see that coming?

Clearly, the only person who saw any of this coming was Katie. She allegedly rented a place in Manhattan just a few weeks before she filed the divorce documents. Do you think she’s trying to gain something out of this divorce? However, she is one of Hollywood’s most paid actress so she shouldn’t have any problems. So what is she up to? We do know that her move to Manhattan was a strategical move as she has filed for sole custody of 6 year old Suri and New York tends to favor a sole custody more (to put it bluntly). Hence, we definitely know that Katie has something “devilish” up her sleeves. I guess we just have to wait and find out what it is.
